Accommodate Movement, Block Water
Large residential blocks, commercial buildings, and bridges require expansion joints to accommodate thermal expansion and structural movement. If these joints are not sealed properly, they become the primary pathways for massive water infiltration during monsoons.
Traditional rigid cement or standard sealants crack under movement. We use specialized highly-elastic polysulphide and polyurethane sealants, along with compressible backing rods, to create a joint that can stretch and compress while remaining 100% waterproof.
Our Process
- ✔ Mechanical grinding to clean the inner edges of the joint.
- ✔ Insertion of appropriate closed-cell polyethylene backer rod.
- ✔ Application of primer on the joint walls for maximum adhesion.
- ✔ Gun-applied pouring of elastomeric PU or polysulphide sealant.
